I love typography

In my daily news feed readings, this site was pegged by Jeffery Zeldman as their website, A List Apart, is one of the fifteen chosen. I do like the typograhy of ALA, but I am also pleased to have some new sources of inspiration.

I am always amazed at how a finely wrought sentence, a carefully crafted text architecture, and the fine art of typography can transform communication into a seamless and edifying experience. Perhaps not as instantaneous as the Matrix, but it does make the message infinitely more digestible and downright pleasurable. Creating letter forms is a highly specialized form of illustration, and these pieces of art are given their respect when treated with care and attention. Not always an easy task in a time of quickly churned thoughts and rapid moving communication.
